Last Saturday in near perfect conditions Bective lost 25-18 in a pacy match with Greystones.

With over 100 at the pre-match lunch there was a great atmosphere in the clubhouse. The absence of a kicker for both forward field position and converting of points limited our chances greatly.

Openside Dan Crean stepped onto the plate. He slotted over a couple of kicks but the kicking foot wasn't as tuned up as one would expect!

Two of this seaons U20's Matt Ruddock and David O'Brien got runs. 

Club President, Paddy O'Brien made a presention to Fergal Campion to mark the occassion of him scoring over 1,000 AIL League points, while playing with Bective, on December 15th 2007 in the AIB League match away to Wanderers.  (As featured in Evening Herald, rugby supplement, Friday January 11th 2008)

Bective Man of the Match awards for Rounds 1 to 7 in the AIB League were also presented by Paddy O'Brien.
